The Sweetbriar Collective began with a love for motherhood, meaningful connection and the magic of childhood. Founded by photographer Ashley Wilburn, Sweetbriar first began as a maternity and newborn photography studio in 2016. Through years of capturing growing families and supporting new mothers, Ashley dreamed of creating something more—a welcoming place where children could play, discover and grow, and where parents could find beautiful, thoughtfully chosen pieces for every season of childhood.
Inspired by fond memories of visiting Chillicothe’s local toy and children’s clothing stores as children, Ashley and her husband brought that dream to life in 2025. Today, The Sweetbriar Collective offers quality children’s clothing, books, open-ended toys and sensory-supportive products chosen to encourage comfort, creativity and meaningful play.
Upstairs, the light-filled Sweetbriar photography studio continues the story, welcoming Ashley and other local creatives. More than a boutique, Sweetbriar is a place for families to gather, discover something special and celebrate the wonder of childhood.
